The escape room challenges have been in the picture for some time now. In 2017 the global competition Red Bull Mind Gamers Escape Rooms World Championship began. In this competition, the best escape room team is identified.

To qualify for the competition, the participants can take part in the preliminary rounds both online and offline. After the qualification rounds, the best team from each country is picked up for the final event.

In the first competition that was held in 2017, twenty international teams took part. The rooms were designed by a team that was led by Dr. Scott Nicholson. For the following years’ competitions also, he and his team designed the escape rooms for both the physical and virtual games.

The games created for the competition were visual and active. The games are designed to challenge various problem-solving skills like logic, creativity, musicality, visual thinking, memory, and strategy.

To participate in the competition, you must first qualify online. It is a single-player game, and once you succeed, you can form your team. You can add three more team members by inviting them by email to join you.

You should come up with a team name too. Once all the team members agree, you should try to get a top spot at the local qualifiers. Your teammates must be from the same country as you are. This is because one team per country will be chosen for the final event. To quality in the online game, you need to complete the task in less than 5 minutes.

After you are successful, you take part in the second phase of the competition, which is the local offline competition. That is, the teams will compete in their own countries. After this competition, one winner will be chosen from each country, and they will participate in the final phase of the game.

You need to be at least 16 years old to participate in this competition. If you are interested in participating in next year’s competition, then you should practice puzzles and mind games. You must try some escape rooms near you.
